A tutorial of my favourite rotator cuff stretches.
The Rotator Cuff is a group made up of 4 muscles: infraspinatus, supraspinatus, subscapularis and teres minor. These muscles stabilise the shoulder joint and allow it to move ๐ช๐ผ. The shoulder is one of the most mobile joints in our bodies and is often under a lot of pressure performing overhead and repetitive actions particularly in tennis๐พ, golf ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ and weight lifting ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ. Rotator cuff injuries such as : tears, strains, impingements and general tension are very common and these stretches and strengthening exercises will help to relieve tension, pain, increase mobility/range of motion and decrease discomfort.
