PRIVATE YOGA CLASSES
In October 2015 I completed my Yoga Teacher Training Course 200 hrs for beginners in Canggu, Bali. Having previously worked as a Personal Assistant in Central London for 3 years and taking an interest in regular yoga practice and spirituality since the age of 15, I felt it was the right time for me to explore this further. My YTT took place over 21 days with the training school Santosha Yoga. Our days were long and intense, beginning at 5am for our morning yoga class and ending at 8pm. Days would be spent learning each Asana (pose) in depth, and how we can safely and responsibly teach these to our future students. Other topics that we studied ranged from Anatomy to Meditation and daily journalling was encouraged. Towards the end of the 21 days we were examined and presented a flow to our class using the tools and teachings we learnt during the course. I can confidently say, It was one of the most nourishing experiences I have had. During my YTT, I found a real passion for teaching, working with others, practicing yoga and immersing myself in the philosophy of both yoga & meditation. .
Since then, I have been teaching Private 1-to-1 Yoga Classes which incorporates a combination of Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga & step-by-step Joint Mobility Stretches & Muscle Release Exercises. Meditation has also become a regular practice of mine and has advanced by attending regular 7-day Silent Meditation Retreats all over the world. Present moment awareness, breathing techniques and mindfulness are tools that have helped me in my day-to-day life and are implemented in my classes. I tailor each class specifically to the requirements and preferences of my clients. These can range from musculoskeletal issues, joint conditions, challenges such as stress & anxiety and for general well-being and fitness. The nature of the 1-to-1 learning enables me to provide a more thorough, focused and personal class. Our classes range from 30 - 45 minutes and can be attended via Zoom or in person around Clapham/Battersea/Wandsworth public parks.
